Cruise day in Rotterdam: planning your transfer to and from the Cruise Terminal
The simplest way to plan cruise day is to work back from the ship. Send us the ship’s name and the time on your cruise documents, and we drop you off or collect you at the Kiss & Ride parking of Cruise Terminal Rotterdam on the Wilhelminakade. From the terminal to Schiphol a business sedan costs €195 all-in; from Schiphol to the terminal €210.
This guide covers the timing of embarkation and disembarkation, luggage, flight connections and how to spend a day in port with your own chauffeur. It is written for passengers, and for the travel agents and PAs who arrange the trip for them.
Where the car stops
Drop-off and pickup are at the Kiss & Ride parking of Cruise Terminal Rotterdam, where cars can stop briefly to let passengers out or in. On arrival day your chauffeur waits for you there with a name sign, so you do not have to look for a taxi with all your luggage around you.
The terminal is on the Wilhelminakade, on the south bank of the river Maas, across the Erasmus Bridge from the city centre. Hotels in the centre are a short drive away, which makes a night in Rotterdam before or after the cruise easy to add.
Embarkation day: arriving at the right time
Cruise lines set check-in times per ship, and often per group of passengers. Go by the time on your own documents rather than the ship’s departure time: the ship sails well after the last passengers have boarded.
Coming from home, a hotel or an office in the Netherlands or Belgium? Tell us the check-in time and we plan the pickup so you reach the Kiss & Ride without rushing. Flying in on the same day? Leave a generous buffer between your landing and the check-in time. We follow the flight and plan the pickup on the actual landing time, but a long delay still eats into your margin.
At Schiphol the chauffeur waits at the official Schiphol Meeting Point with a name sign, or on request at the exit of Arrivals 1, 2, 3 or 4. Free waiting there is 60 minutes from the actual landing time.
Disembarkation day: collected without the wait
Disembarkation usually happens in stages over the morning, with passengers called off the ship group by group. Your cruise line tells you your time, normally during the last days on board. Send us the ship and the planned time when you book, and pass on any change. On the day we stay in touch.
Free waiting at the Cruise Terminal is 15 minutes. After that, extra waiting is €60 per hour, charged per started 15 minutes (€15). Expect to be among the last off the ship? Tell us: a slightly later pickup is better than paying for waiting time.
Luggage
Cruise luggage is rarely light. A business sedan takes up to 3 passengers with 3 suitcases. For a family, two couples travelling together, or anyone with large cases for a long voyage, choose the V-Class (up to 7 passengers) or the V-Class XL (up to 8). The chauffeur loads and unloads, so you only walk from the terminal to the car.
Mention special items when you book, such as a folding wheelchair, a pushchair or extra hand luggage, so we send a vehicle with room for them. A child seat is available on request.

Other airports, hotels and Belgium
Not flying through Schiphol? We also drive between the Cruise Terminal and Rotterdam The Hague Airport, hotels in Rotterdam and The Hague, Amsterdam and Belgium. Enter the address in the booking form for an instant fixed price per vehicle.
Booking both rides together, for example Schiphol to the terminal on embarkation day and the terminal back to Schiphol after the cruise, gives 10% off the return ride.
A day in port with your own chauffeur
Calling at Rotterdam for the day rather than starting or ending here? A chauffeur by the hour gives you a private excursion at your own pace: the windmills at Kinderdijk, the old centre of Delft, The Hague or Amsterdam. You choose the plan, and the chauffeur waits while you visit.
From €85 per hour for a business sedan, minimum 2 hours. 30 km per booked hour included. Extra km: €1.75 per km for business sedans and the EQS, €2.25 for the S-Class and vans. Tell us when you must be back on board and we plan the day around that time.

For travel agents booking cruise guests
Book for someone else and your guests are the passengers: the chauffeur holds a sign with their name and contacts them on the day, and you receive the confirmation and the invoice. Add your company name, VAT number and your own booking reference so the ride is easy to match to the trip.
